I operate a teaching and demonstration farm for Mexico Medical Missions. The farm is located in a visible location on the main highway through our region. I teach farming and share the Gospel in personal conversations, in public farm demonstrations, and in public addresses at our farm parties. The trust and friendship that develops as a result of helping farmers feed their families opens the door to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the context of friendship.
The agriculture teaching I do is mostly basic principles of farming, simple things like: optimal plant populations, soil fertility, water and soil management and crop rotation. When farmers follow my recommendations they can expect a harvest 6 to 8 times larger than what they get following the old methods.
